One Kind Word Can Change Everything!

Somebody you meet today may be one kind word away from giving up.

Good morning, my friend.

Hebrews 3:13 says, “But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”

That word “exhort” means to encourage, urge, and help somebody keep going in the right direction.

God knows we need that encouragement daily. Discouragement can wear us down, and sin can whisper, “God doesn’t care. Nobody notices. You might as well quit.”

But a word of truth, spoken with love, can help somebody keep trusting Jesus.

Imagine a coworker who seems quieter than usual. You don’t know that they’ve been up half the night worrying about their family. You stop and say, “I appreciate you. You matter, and God hasn’t forgotten you.”

You may think that was a small thing. But to somebody carrying a heavy burden, it may be the encouragement they needed to take another step.

I try to encourage folks every day, but I need encouragement too. We all do.

Here’s your one action today: Tell one person something specific you appreciate about them. Don’t just think it. Say it while it is called today.

You don’t have to have all the answers to remind somebody they aren’t walking alone.

God can use your words to strengthen a weary heart.

Follow or subscribe for a little encouragement from God’s Word each morning and evening.
