Good morning, my friend!
Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
One of the greatest investments we can make is planting God’s truth in the hearts of our children.
And that happens in everyday moments. It happens when they hear us pray, watch us handle disappointment, and see us ask forgiveness when we get something wrong.
We teach with our words, but we also teach with our lives.
You don’t have to be a perfect parent or grandparent to make a lasting difference. You just need to keep pointing them toward a faithful God.
Read that Bible story. Say that prayer together. Take time to listen. Let them know that Jesus loves them and that they can bring their troubles to Him.
And if you’re watching a child wander today, don’t turn this verse into a weapon against yourself. This proverb gives us wisdom for raising children; it doesn’t give us control over every choice they make.
Keep praying. Keep loving. Keep living your faith where they can see it.
You may not see the fruit today, but that doesn’t mean the seed was wasted.
My friend, be faithful with the opportunities God gives you. Trust Him with the work you cannot see.
Those little moments of faithfulness matter more than you know.
