Good morning, my friend.
Jeremiah 17:7 says, “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.”
Have you ever caught yourself saying, “If I could just get this one thing worked out, then I could have some peace”?
But before you get that thing settled, something else comes along. Life has a way of giving us another reason to worry.
That’s why we need to pay attention to where we place our hope.
This verse says the blessed person trusts in the Lord. Our hope rests in who God is, even while we’re waiting to see what He will do.
Now, trusting God doesn’t mean you never feel afraid. It means you bring that fear to Him and say, “Lord, I don’t know how this is going to work out, but I know I can trust You.”
Maybe you’re waiting on an answer. Maybe you’re carrying a concern for your family. Maybe you woke up this morning already wondering how you’re going to handle everything today.
Friend, God knows what you’re carrying. You can talk to Him about every bit of it.
Take a moment to pray. Give Him the concern that keeps running through your mind. Then take the next faithful step He has put in front of you.
You don’t have to figure out the whole road to walk with God today.
Trust Him with the next step.
Your hope is in the Lord, and He is faithful.
