The more you pour into others, the more God can refresh your own heart.
Good evening, my friend. Proverbs 11:25 says, “The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.”
Maybe today you encouraged somebody, listened when they needed to talk, prayed for a friend, or gave when you didn’t have much to spare. Those acts may seem small, but God sees them. And as you help refresh someone else, He has a way of renewing your own spirit.
That doesn’t mean we give just to get something back. We give because God has been generous to us. We love because He first loved us. And we encourage because somebody may be carrying a burden we cannot see.
So tonight, ask yourself: Who could use a little encouragement from me? A kind text, a sincere prayer, or a few minutes of listening could make a difference.
Be a blessing where you are and trust God to refresh your heart, too.
