When You Don’t Know What Comes Next!

Faithful When the Road Is Uncertain

Good morning, my friend!

Have you ever stood at a crossroads, knowing you had to move forward but having no idea what was waiting on the other side?

Maybe you’re facing a decision, a difficult change, or a season where the future feels unclear. You want answers, but God may be asking you for something simpler: one faithful step.

In Ruth 1:16, Ruth tells Naomi, “Whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.”

Ruth spoke those words during a painful season. She had lost her husband, and Naomi was returning home after losing her husband and sons. Ruth was leaving behind everything familiar—her country, her people, and the life she once knew.

She didn’t know what the future held. She didn’t have a detailed plan or any guarantee that the road ahead would be easy. But she chose faithfulness. She chose to walk with Naomi, and more importantly, she chose to follow Naomi’s God.

That’s often how faith works. God doesn’t always show us the entire path. He gives us enough light for the next step.

Maybe today you’re wondering how you’ll make it through. Maybe someone you love needs your support, or you’re being asked to trust God in a situation you cannot control.

Bring that uncertainty to Him. Ask for strength to keep loving, courage to keep going, and wisdom for what’s right in front of you.

You don’t have to solve the whole journey today. Make the call. Keep your promise. Show up. Pray. Take the next faithful step.

You may not know where the road leads, but you can know who walks with you. Trust God with the future, and be faithful with today.
