I read something today that will make you stop and think: “People are addicted to easy. And easy is the reason their life stays hard.”

Now, every hard season isn’t the result of a bad choice. Sometimes life hurts, even when you’re doing the right thing. But sometimes we keep putting off the very step that could help us move forward.

It’s easy to hold a grudge. It takes faith to forgive.
It’s easy to make an excuse. It takes courage to take responsibility.
And it’s easy to say, “I’ll start tomorrow,” while tomorrow keeps turning into another yesterday.

My friend, God loves you right where you are, and He loves you enough to help you grow.

Galatians 6:9 reminds us not to grow weary in doing good. There is a harvest ahead if we don’t give up.

So before you lay your head on that pillow tonight, ask yourself: “What’s one thing I’ve been avoiding that God is calling me to do?”

Maybe it’s an apology. Maybe it’s asking for help. Maybe it’s following through on something you already know is right.

You don’t have to fix everything tonight. Pray about that next step, and ask God for the courage to take it.

Then rest. You can trust Him with what tomorrow holds.
