What if the greatest danger is not refusing to believe in Jesus, but believing in Him without ever surrendering to Him?
I heard someone say: “Believing in Jesus but not obeying Him is exactly what Satan does.”
And man, that really hit me.
James 2:19 says, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
Satan knows Jesus is real. He knows Jesus is the Son of God. He knows the Bible is true. His problem is not a lack of information. His problem is rebellion.
Friend, saving faith is more than agreeing with facts about Jesus. It is trusting Him enough to follow Him.
Jesus said in John 14:15, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Now, we are not saved by our obedience. We are saved by grace through faith. But genuine faith produces a desire to obey. When Jesus becomes your Savior, He also becomes your Lord.
You cannot follow Jesus while insisting on always going your own way.
So ask yourself today: Is there something Jesus has told me to do that I keep putting off?
Do not settle for a faith that only knows about Jesus. Choose a faith that follows Jesus.
Here is today’s challenge: Believe His Word, obey His voice, and take the next step He places before you.
