“One of the biggest red flags that God gives is the absence of His peace.”

Think about that for just a moment.

So often we ask God for a flashing sign or a booming voice from heaven, but many times He guides His children in a much quieter way. One of His greatest gifts is His peace. When we’re walking in His will, even in the middle of difficulty, there is a settled confidence deep within our hearts that says, “God is with me.”

But when we ignore His direction, force open doors He has kept shut, or make decisions without seeking Him, that peace can disappear. The Holy Spirit lovingly reminds us to pause, pray, and pay attention.

Now, that doesn’t mean every uncomfortable situation is outside of God’s will. Following Jesus often requires courage. But even in the hardest seasons, there is a difference between the pressure of circumstances and the peace of God’s presence.

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” -Colossians 3:15 (KJV)

As this evening comes to a close, take a moment to ask yourself, “Am I walking in God’s peace, or have I been ignoring His gentle warning?” If your heart is restless, don’t rush ahead. Spend time with the Lord. Open His Word. Pray. Wait on His direction. His peace is often His way of saying, “This is the way, walk ye in it.”

Have a peaceful evening, and remember, the God who guides you is also the God who gives you peace. Sleep well, knowing that when you follow Him, you never have to walk alone. God bless you.

There are days when we question a lot of things. We question our decisions, our abilities, and sometimes we even question whether we’re enough. But there is one thing you never have to question if you belong to Jesus: God’s love for you.

John doesn’t simply say that God has love. He says, “God is love.” Love isn’t just something God does. It’s who He is. That means His love isn’t based on your performance. It doesn’t disappear when you stumble or grow stronger when you succeed. His love is constant because His character never changes.

When you understand that truth, it changes the way you face life. You don’t have to spend your days trying to earn God’s approval. Through Christ, you already have His love. You can walk through uncertainty with confidence because the One who loves you is walking beside you.

Today, don’t let fear, failure, or the opinions of others define your worth. Let the love of God remind you who you are. You are His child. You are deeply loved. You are never alone.

So wherever this day takes you, rest in the unchanging love of the Father. His love will strengthen you when you’re weak, comfort you when you’re hurting, and guide you when you don’t know which way to go.
