Little Things!
“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.” -Luke 16:10 (KJV)
Friend, we often spend our lives praying for bigger opportunities, greater influence, and larger blessings. We ask God to open new doors, expand our territory, and do something extraordinary in our lives.
But Jesus reminds us that the pathway to greater things almost always begins with the little things.
Before David stood before Goliath, he faithfully watched sheep in the pasture. Before Joseph ruled Egypt, he served faithfully as a slave and a prisoner. Before the disciples preached to multitudes, they simply followed Jesus one step at a time.
God isn’t just watching how we handle the big moments. He’s watching how we treat people when no one is looking, how we keep our word, how we use our time, how we steward our resources, and how we serve when there is little recognition.
Never underestimate the importance of today’s small acts of obedience. A quiet prayer, a kind word, a faithful tithe, an encouraging phone call, a task completed with excellence—these may seem insignificant, but in God’s hands they become the building blocks of a life He can trust with greater responsibility.
Don’t despise where you are today because you’re dreaming about tomorrow. Be faithful where God has planted you. If you’ll honor Him with the little things, He knows exactly when you’re ready for the bigger things.
Today, ask yourself, “Am I being faithful with what God has already placed in my hands?” Faithfulness today prepares you for the opportunities of tomorrow.
May the Lord find us faithful, whether our assignment seems great or small. Because in God’s kingdom, faithfulness is never wasted.
