Ego Vesus Heart!

Sometimes it seems as if I am in a constant battle with my ego and I know this takes me away from the things I really want, the things that my spirit knows is best for me. My ego is the idea that I am what I do, what I have or what I think other people think of me, and the truth is: I am so much more and so are you!

This battle with my ego often causes my heart to become hard and encourages me to be moody, arrogant and selfish, which is the exact opposite of what I really am and what I truly want to be. I was created with a soft and tender heart that says: “I am peace, humble and giving all wrapped up in supernatural love.”

When I am my real self, my spirit self, the self that God created me to be, then God is able to move through me and it is such a wonderful and amazing experience that words cannot even come close to explaining. This is an experience where self gets out of the way and allows Spirit to shine all the beautiful gifts to and through my spirit’s presence in this human experience.

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” -Ephesians 4:31-32

So take a few moments today to realize this life is sometimes a very real battle, but it is a battle worth engaging in and ultimately winning. And to win the battle with the ego, we must focus on doing two things:

1. We must get rid of all, not some of the by-products of ego. We have to take on, take out and get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, brawling, slander and every form of malice.

2. We must replace the empty space with kindness, compassion and forgiveness. In others words: We give to others what God has given to us. We cannot give something to someone else, if we do not have it for ourself, so first we must receive the kindness, compassion and forgiveness and then we are empowered to share it with others.

Getting rid of the bad and replacing it with the good empowers us from the inside out and gives us a victory that cannot be obtained in any other way. It is a battle, but it’s a battle worth fighting to get our heart soft, tender and ready for the supernatural seed of the Almighty…

Give And Get!

We all of a sudden find ourselves in the middle of a pandemic and we get a good look in the mirror at who we really are. And just what does the mirror reveal? It reveals a mixed bag of selfishness and greed versus sharing and generosity. And if we are honest with ourselves, we often find ourselves sometimes located on a tight rope between the two extremes.

All of this has made me think a lot about who I really am and what I am really about. I’ve made an interesting discovery! There was a time in my life that I gave to get, but this is not the life I choose to live now a days. Some where along the way, I learned that the giving to get things just doesn’t work for me. The thing that life seems to be teaching me is: I do not give to get, but I do get what I give!

We are spiritual beings living a physical human experience. In this physical world we live in, when we give something away, it is no longer ours, even though our spirit teaches us that it will eventually find its way back to us.

What we give away Indus it’s way back to us, because of SPIRIT. What I give in spirit, I receive in spirit. If I give love, I get love and if I give hate, I get hate. Whatever I put out into the world is ultimately what finds its way back to me is some way, shape or form.

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” -Galatians 6:7-9

We love to play the blame game, when things are not going the way we want them to go, but whatever we have or do not have in our life is a reflection of what we have or have not given. Whatever we want to harvest in our life, we must first be willing to plant and the best way to plant is in our giving. What are you giving and what are you getting? Compare the two and you will begin to understand…

Breaking Free Of The Jaded Life!

Live in this world long enough and at some point you are going to find yourself disenchanted and jaded by the sacrifices you’ve made, which have required you to forfeit the tenderness you were created in. This does not take away from the amazingness of this world, but it does cause us to miss out, because we are not tuned in and aligned in body, mind and spirit.

Living the jaded life leads us to become mean, cynical and sarcastic, which keeps us from living in the power of supernatural blessing. Most of us that get trapped in the jaded life style do not have or make time for reflection and instead get caught up, distracted and sent in the wrong direction by judging others, becoming overly critical and toxic in our negativity.

This is not a place or way we would normally choose to live our life, but once we get on the proverbial ”rat wheel”, it is very challenging to get off. At some point we get tired of it all, give up and become stuck or we become motivated to change things no matter what.

”Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.” -Isaiah 40:28

Here’s the beautiful and amazing truth: We don’t have to learn anything new to break free of the jaded life, we simply have to believe, claim and live in the power of truths already revealed by God to us. Faith makes all things possible and the best way to grow our faith is to return to what we already know and trust, believe and have faith.

There is a door that leads to freedom from the jaded lifestyle and that door is unlocked with the key called faith. Unlock that door with your belief and watch the miraculous freedom flow from Heaven into and through your life and living…
