A Work Of Art!

A Work In His Hands!

What would happen if you really believed that God created you to be His witness, so that you could change this world for His glory?  Would that change the way you live, the things you say and the things you do?  You bet it would and it does!

We are ordinary and this is what allows God to be extraordinary in and through us.  There are social needs all around us crying out for a touch of the supernatural.  There are growing spiritual needs that challenge all of us to be and do more of what we were created for.

God is our Creator and we are His work of art!  God takes what is ordinary, lifeless and often ugly and does what only He can do – turn us into something extraordinary, alive and beautiful.

God is into raising eyebrows and opening people’s mouths.  God is into taking hopeless and turning it into hopeful.  God is into chasing away the darkness with the bright light of His presence.  God is into making death come crashing out of the grave alive and well.

When God steps into our lives, despair, darkness and depression must step out!  What looks like the end to most people, is really just another beginning with God.  You are more than just a work of art, you are a masterpiece.  Stop living in the limitations of man and start living in the grand expectations of Almighty God!

Isaiah 64:8 says: “Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”

Lord,  You created me, formed me from nothing into something.  You redeemed me, took my life of no value and gave it value beyond comprehension.  You took what was dead and made it alive.  Please help me to see, understand, believe and realize that I was created in Christ to do good works that change this world that I live in for Your glory.  Help me to grab hold of what You created me for and to never let go.  May my life lived in submission to You, bring blessing to others and glory to You!

How Big Is Your God?

Change Your World!

What is your definition of success?  Now think about God’s definition of success, really think about it – is there any difference between your definition and His?  If you are really honest, then I bet there is!

God created you and He created you to be successful, but it is probably not success in the terms that the world has got us used to thinking in.  God created you and me to change the world, so let me ask you – how are you doing with that?

Do you think of yourself as a world-changer?  Most of us think way below this high expectation that God has created us for.  But there it is – the reality of our Creator:  We were created for this!

Our being small is not really the problem.  Our failure to understand and believe how big our God is, is the problem.  God is God and He can do anything He wants to do.  He invites us to join Him and faith is our ticket to get on the most amazing ride of all time.

You have a choice to make – will you respond with the optimism that unleashes the hope that defeats despair and the faith that conquers doubt, or will you let the task at hand become bigger than your God?

Jeremiah 9:23-24 says:  “23 This is what the LORD says:  “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, 24 but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the LORD.”

Lord, You have created all things and I know and believe that You have created me for such a time as this!  Please help me to live a life of faith that allows me to change this world for Your glory!

This Is It!

Don't Miss Your Opportunity!

This idea that God has created us on purpose for His purpose has really taken hold of my heart and is growing me to a whole new place of understanding and living.  I was created by God on purpose, I am not an accident.  I was saved by Jesus for a purpose, that I might be filled with the Holy Spirit of God, so that I might be a witness of God and His incredible and amazing power!

In Acts 13:36 it says:  “After David had done the will of God in His own generation, he died and was buried.”  Wow!  After he had done what he was created to do, he died and was buried.  That’s it.

The fact that we are still here means that God is not finished with us yet.  We have not fully accomplished what we were created for.  Time is running out.  None of us are getting any younger and there is still a lot of work to do.

Lord,  I do not have any idea what amazing things you have to unfold in front of me, but I know that whatever they are, in them there is an amazing opportunity to make a difference for you by reaching out with Your love and relationship to a desperately lost, hurt and dying world.  Please help me to see the need and to react with love and grace that gives glory to You and blessing to others.  Help me to be Your hands and feet.  Help me to let Your Spirit flow into and through my life as I seek to fulfill the plan that I was created for.  In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
