“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.” –Philippians 1:3

Have you ever stopped to think about how different your life would be if God had never brought certain people into it?

Maybe it’s a spouse who has stood beside you through the storms.

A friend who showed up when everybody else walked away.

A parent who prayed for you when you didn’t even know you needed prayer.

Or somebody who simply spoke a word of encouragement at just the right time.

In Philippians 1:3, Paul said, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.”

Now, I love that!

Paul wasn’t just remembering people. He was thanking God for them!

Friend, sometimes we get so busy asking God for what we need that we forget to thank Him for who He has already given us.

The truth is, some of God’s greatest blessings don’t come wrapped in packages.
They come wrapped in people.

People who love us.

People who pray for us.

People who encourage us to keep going when we feel like giving up.

And here’s something else worth remembering.

You might be the very person somebody else is thanking God for today!

So here’s my challenge for you.

Before this day is over, think of somebody who has made a difference in your life.

Call them. Text them. Tell them you love them.

Don’t wait until it’s too late to tell somebody how much they mean to you.

And while you’re thanking God for the people He’s placed in your life, ask Him to help you be that kind of blessing to somebody else.

Because a grateful heart doesn’t just remember blessings. It becomes a blessing!
