When You’re Tired of Being Strong!

Are you tired of being the strong one for everybody else?

The one everybody calls when something goes wrong.

The one who always has to have the answers.

The one who encourages everybody else, even when you’re struggling yourself.

Friend, sometimes the strongest people are carrying the heaviest burdens.

And maybe this morning, you’re just tired.

Listen to what Jesus says in Matthew 11:28:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Notice what Jesus didn’t say.

He didn’t say, “Come to me when you’ve got everything figured out.”

He didn’t say, “Come to me when you’re strong enough.”

He simply said, “Come unto me.”

You don’t have to pretend with Jesus.

You don’t have to put on a smile when your heart is hurting.

You don’t have to carry everything by yourself.

The same Jesus who gives you strength to help others is inviting you to come to Him and find rest for your own weary soul.

So today, take a moment.

Put down what you’ve been carrying.

Tell Him what’s on your heart.

And remember this:

You can be strong in your faith and still need to rest in your Savior.

If you know somebody who’s always being strong for everybody else, send them this encouragement today.
