Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
Have you ever worried about something that hasn’t even happened yet?
We can spend today carrying the weight of tomorrow. We wonder how things are going to work out, what we’re going to do, and whether we’ll have the strength to handle whatever comes next.
But Deuteronomy 31:8 gives us a wonderful promise.
God goes before you.
That means wherever you’re headed today, God is already there.
Before you walk into that doctor’s office, God is there.
Before you have that difficult conversation, God is there.
Before you face that decision, that problem, or that uncertainty, God is there.
You may be stepping into something you’ve never faced before, but God isn’t.
Nothing waiting for you today will surprise Him.
And notice what else He promises: “He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee.”
People may disappoint you. Plans may change. Life may take an unexpected turn.
But God will not abandon you halfway through the journey.
So don’t let tomorrow’s uncertainty steal today’s peace.
You don’t have to know everything that’s ahead when you know the One who goes ahead of you.
Take the next step.
God is already there.
