Choose Growth Over Easy!

“People are addicted to easy. And easy is the reason their life stays hard.”

That is a strong statement, but there is a lot of truth in it.

We all want the easier road. We want change without discomfort, strength without struggle, and success without sacrifice. But the easy choice today often creates a harder tomorrow.

God does not always remove the mountain in front of us. Sometimes He uses the mountain to develop the strength within us.

Romans 12:2 says, “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Real change begins when you stop asking, “Why is this so hard?” and start asking, “What is God teaching me through this?”

Your circumstances do not have to control your attitude, and your past does not have to determine your future. You may not be able to choose everything that happens to you, but with God’s help, you can choose how you respond.

Sometimes the next right step will not be the easiest one.

It may mean getting up when you feel like giving up.

It may mean forgiving someone who hurt you.

It may mean changing an unhealthy habit, making that difficult phone call, or opening your Bible when you would rather scroll through your phone.

My friend, comfort may keep you where you are, but courage will move you toward where God wants you to be.

Do the difficult thing that leads to a better life. Renew your mind, surrender your will to God, and take the next faithful step.

The road may not be easy, but with God, it will be worth it.
