When You Feel Weak, Defeated Or Beat!

Isaiah 12:2 says, “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.”

There are seasons in life when fear tries to move into your heart and set up residence. Sometimes it is fear about your health, your family, your future, or even the uncertainty of tomorrow. But Isaiah reminds us that when God is our salvation, fear does not have to control us.

Notice the verse does not say we will never face trouble. It says, “I will trust, and not be afraid.” Trust is the difference maker. Fear looks at the storm. Trust looks at the Savior.

I have discovered that sometimes God does His greatest work in us when we finally realize we do not have the strength to carry everything ourselves. That is when we lean on Him. He becomes our strength when ours runs low. He becomes our song when life has stolen our joy. He becomes our salvation when we could not save ourselves.

There is something powerful about knowing that the same God who saved you is also sustaining you today. You may feel weak this morning, but God has not weakened. You may feel uncertain, but God has not changed.

So take a deep breath today and remind your soul: “The Lord is my strength and my song.” You are not walking through this day alone. God is with you, God is for you, and God will carry you every step of the way.
