You’re Ready!

Acts 1:8 reminds us that God never calls us to live the Christian life in our own strength. Jesus looked at ordinary people, fishermen, tax collectors, and men who often struggled with fear, and He gave them an extraordinary promise:

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…”

That word power means strength, ability, and courage from God Himself.

There are moments in life when we feel weak, uncertain, and unqualified. We wonder if we can make a difference in our family, our church, our workplace, or this world. The truth is, by ourselves, we cannot. But God never intended for us to walk alone.

The same Spirit that empowered the early church still empowers believers today.

-He gives strength when you feel weary.

-He gives courage when you feel afraid.

-He gives wisdom when you do not know what to say.

-And He gives boldness to stand for Christ in a world that desperately needs hope.

I think about sitting on a quiet front porch early in the morning with a cup of coffee in hand. The day ahead may feel heavy, but there is peace in knowing you do not face it alone. God’s Spirit walks with you before you ever step into the day.

Acts 1:8 is not just about preaching across oceans. It is about living faithfully wherever God has planted you. Your home, your church, your workplace, and your community are all places where His power can shine through your life.

So today, do not focus on your weakness. Focus on His power.

God does not call the equipped. He equips the called.
