God Is Still in Control (Even When the World Feels Out of Control)

‘And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.” -Zechariah 14:9 (KJV)

There is coming a day when everything that feels divided will be made whole.

Right now, the world feels scattered. Voices are loud. Opinions are strong. Nations rise, kingdoms fall, and people try to make sense of it all. But this verse reminds us of something steady, something unshakable. There is a King, and His rule is not temporary.

The Lord shall be king over all the earth.

Not part of it. Not some of it. All of it.

That means there is no situation beyond His authority. No problem outside His reach. No broken place He cannot restore.

Sometimes we look around and wonder where God is in all of it. But this verse pulls back the curtain and lets us see the end of the story. God is not losing control. He is moving everything toward a moment where His reign is fully revealed.

And in that day, there will be one Lord, and His name one.

No confusion. No competition. No divided loyalties. Just one name lifted above every other name.

So today, take heart.

The same God who will one day rule over all the earth is already working in your life right now. He sees you. He knows where you are. And nothing you are facing will outlast His kingdom.

You may not understand everything today, but you can trust the One who holds tomorrow.

Because in the end, the King wins.

And if you belong to Him, so do you.
