Pay Attention!

“Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.” Mark 13:33 (KJV)

There is something powerful about being ready.

Not anxious. Not fearful. Not overwhelmed.

Just ready.

Jesus reminds us in Mark 13:33 to take heed, watch, and pray. That is not a call to worry about tomorrow, it is a call to stay connected today.

Life has a way of lulling us into spiritual sleep. The routine becomes comfortable. The urgent crowds out the important. The noise of the world can slowly dull the voice of God in our hearts.

But Jesus gently calls us back to attentiveness.

Watch.

Stay aware of what God is doing around you. Opportunities to encourage someone. Moments to show kindness. Doors to share hope.

Pray.

Prayer keeps our heart aligned with heaven. It keeps our perspective clear and our spirit sensitive. A praying heart is a prepared heart.

Take heed.

Guard what influences your thinking. Protect what shapes your priorities. Be intentional about the direction of your life.

We do not know what tomorrow holds, but we do know who holds tomorrow.

So today, stay ready. Stay faithful in the small things. Stay sensitive to the Spirit. Stay steady in your walk with Christ.

Often the greatest moments in life are not scheduled, they are prepared for.

And when your heart is watching and praying, you will not miss what God is doing.

Stay ready… because God is always working, even when the moment seems ordinary.
