Perspective Problems!

Can You Really See?

Our Problem Is A Messed Up Perspective!  The older I get, the more I realize what an important role my perspective plays in my enjoying life or enduring life.  The way I see things really does matter and if I am seeing things in the wrong way, then I am the one that is responsible for changing the way I see things.  This is not easy, but it is very important for me and for others!

Someone said that “Perception is reality!”  I am not so sure that I agree with that!  It sounds about right as it rolls off the tongue, but I don’t think it’s altogether true!  I believe that perception unchallenged eventually becomes reality!  In other words if we accept our perception and do nothing about what is not right about it, then sure, it is going to become reality and this is going to create big problems and challenges for us.  The biggest problem is that the wrong perspective will mess up the  reality of God’s blessing!  God loves you and has an amazing plan for your life, but He does not force that plan upon you.  You have to align your life with His plans for the blessing to flow and perception plays a very big role in where and how you align your life!

The Wrong Perspective!  “I’ll never make it!” or some  version of it.  It is the ole “woe is me” rut that we often get stuck in.  When we think “I’ll never make it!”, we begin to believe we will never make it and the perception left unchallenged becomes reality and we don’t make it!  The right perspective is “God is with me – how can I not succeed???”  We are not in this thing called life alone.  We have a God, Who loves us and has an amazing plan for our lives.  As we learn to trade in our tired perspectives for His energized and living perspective, life takes on a whole new meaning!

Take two people and put them in the exact same situation of life and one will be miserable and the other flourishing!  What’s the difference?  PERSPECTIVE – how you choose to see and ultimately respond to the situation!

Take some time today to think about your perspective and how the enemy has messed with that perspective and messed with you and your future of blessing at the same time.  Think about what you can do to change your perspective, so that you are seeing things the way Your Creator created you to see them!  Change your perspective and you will change your life and quiet possibly the lives of those around you!

What Are You Focusing On?

What Are You Looking At?

It’s Easy To Get Focused On What Is Wrong In Life!  And the problem with getting focused on what is wrong in life, is that this is the wrong focus!  Of course, if we are honest, this is where most of us live our lives.

We Tend To Look At All The Wrong Things!  We complain about what we don’t have instead of appreciating what we do have!  We think about how big our obstacles are and fail to realize that our God is bigger!   This distraction costs us big time, because if has an impact on everything in our lives!

We Miss What Really Matters!  Our lives are full of blessings, but we miss the real benefit of the blessing because we fail to focus on the good things God has done and is doing in our lives.  We take for granted family, friends, health and blessing!  We get so focused on what we don’t have or like, that we miss what we do have and like!

We Miss The Opportunity To Live Lives Of Appreciation!  In James 2:14 it says:  “What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?      Can such faith save him?”  Talk is cheap!  You can say you have faith, but saying you have faith does not make it so!  We often look past the much and miss the blessing!  God has filled our lives with all kinds of wonderful blessing and we miss the benefits, because we look right past it!

Remember:  Today is God’s gift to you, what you do with it, is your gift to God!  Get your focus right and your life will follow!

God Is Waiting!

Powerful Prayer!

The last year of my life has been an amazing time of growth with God.  It has probably been one of the most difficult and challenging times, while at the same time being one of the most rewarding and growing times!  God has taught me so much and the more He teaches me, the more I realize how much I have to learn.

In His book “Why Revival Tarries Leonard Ravenhill says:  “One praying man stands as a majority with God!”  This sounds good, but many of us fail to understand what this powerful statement really means!

To many times in this world, we become so self-sufficient that we write God right out of the equation.  Our ability gets in the way of our availability!  God is teaching me that I don’t have to do it all, I just have to be available to Him and He will take care of the doing.  He has a plan, I get to be a part and this is not about me, but Him!

Everyone is trying to figure out how to get God to bless.  Our human reasoning comes up with all kinds of ideas and schemes, but usually leaves us flat and yearning for something more.  The formula for God’s blessing is a very simple one:  We need to do God’s work in God’s way with God’s power and in God’s time, and then we are guaranteed God’s blessings, as well as the enemies curses.

To be a prophet is not a popular thing, especially in today’s world.  The preacher can go along with the crowd, but the prophet often has to go against the crowd!  The problem with the modern-day Christian is we are not even interested in having a partnership with God, as if partnership were even really possible.  Who do we think we are that we would deserve to be in partnership with God?

God is teaching me something new:  He is not interested in partnership!  God is only interested in ownership!  When God owns you – you think like God, grieve like God and love like God.  God is not looking to make life easier for us and He is not looking for us to make it easy for Him!  God is looking for us to make it hard, because then the miracle is not because of our planning, but because of His power and majesty.  We often waste God’s time with the smallness of our praying!

Stop asking God to make it easier and start asking God to make you stronger and more dependent upon Him and His great strength!  Stop praying for what you want or for what you think is best and start praying for what God wants and for what God knows is best!

God is more than able and a lot of times He is just waiting for us to ask!
