You can’t expect a harvest from seed you were never willing to sow.

Good morning, my friend!

2 Corinthians 9:6 says, “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”

Paul gives us a simple principle: you cannot reap what you refuse to sow.

And this goes far beyond money.

Sow encouragement, and you may be surprised how encouragement comes back around.

Sow kindness, even when people aren’t kind to you.

Sow forgiveness, even when holding a grudge feels easier.

Sow your time into people who need somebody to care.

Sow the Gospel into somebody who needs to hear about Jesus.

Friend, sometimes we hold back because we’re afraid we won’t have enough.

But God never asked us to be the source. He asked us to be faithful with what He has placed in our hands.

A farmer doesn’t stare at a bag of seed and pray for a harvest. At some point, he has to open the bag and start sowing!

So here’s your challenge today:

Find one person you can bless.

Send the text.
Make the call.
Give the encouragement.
Offer the help.
Share Jesus.

Don’t hold back the seed God has placed in your hand.

Sow generously.

Love generously.

Live generously.

And trust God with the harvest!
