What if the thing keeping you awake tonight is not as powerful as the God you are praying to?
Someone once said, “Worry is worshipping the problem.”
Worry magnifies the trouble. It studies every possibility, rehearses every fear, and convinces us that the problem is bigger than our God.
But prayer changes our focus.
Philippians 4:6–7 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Friend, worry says, “What am I going to do?”
Faith says, “God, what are You going to do?”
You may not be able to control the situation, change another person, or see what tomorrow holds. But you can choose where you place your attention today.
Instead of rehearsing the problem, remember God’s promises.
Instead of feeding your fear, strengthen your faith.
Instead of carrying the burden, place it into the hands of the One who is strong enough to hold you and everything concerning you.
Here is your challenge: Every time worry enters your mind today, turn it into a prayer. Name the concern, release it to God, and thank Him for being faithful.
Stop worshipping the problem. Start worshipping the Problem Solver.
Lift your eyes, trust His heart, and take your next step in faith.
God is bigger than whatever is worrying you.
