What if the very thing you wish you could erase is one of the things God used to make you who you are today?

Someone once said, “If you could erase all the mistakes of your past, you would also erase the wisdom of your present. Remember the lesson, not the disappointment.”

Friend, we have all made decisions we wish we could change. We have taken wrong turns, trusted the wrong people, and said things we wish we could take back.

But your mistakes do not have to be wasted.

Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.”

It does not say everything that happens is good. It says God can work through all things for good.

That disappointment may have taught you discernment.

That failure may have developed humility.

That wrong turn may have shown you how desperately you need God’s direction.

You cannot change yesterday, but you can carry its wisdom into today.

So stop punishing yourself for a chapter that God has already helped you survive. Receive His forgiveness. Remember the lesson. Then take one faithful step forward.

Your past may explain you, but it does not have to imprison you.

Learn from it. Grow through it. Let God redeem it.

And whatever you do, don’t quit.
