Time To Get To Work!

“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37–38 (KJV)

There are moments in life when you can feel it…

God is already at work.

Jesus looked out over the multitudes—not with frustration, not with indifference—but with compassion. He didn’t say the problem was the harvest. He said the harvest is plenteous.

That means hearts are ready.

People are searching.

Lives are open.

The need is not opportunity… the need is obedience.

“The labourers are few.”

That’s not a criticism—it’s a calling.

It’s easy to look around and say, “Somebody ought to do something.”

But Jesus gently turns that around and says, “Will you pray? Will you go?”

Before He ever sent them out… He told them to pray.

Because when you begin to pray for the harvest, something begins to change inside of you. Your eyes open. Your heart softens. Your steps become ordered by purpose.

And often, the very one who prays… becomes the answer to the prayer.

You don’t have to go across the world to be a laborer.

Sometimes it’s across the street.

Across the office.

Across the table.

There are people in your path today who need hope, truth, and love.

The harvest is not coming… it’s already here.

So today, don’t just ask God to send someone else.

Say, “Lord, here am I. Send me.”

And watch how God uses your life…

right where you are…

to make an eternal difference.
