Before you go to bed tonight, let me share something that gave me a little food for thought.
“Switching your mentality from ‘Why is this happening to me?’ to ‘What is this trying to teach me?’ is a game changer.”
Now, my friend, I’ve asked God “Why?” more than a few times. When you’re hurting, tired, and trying to make sense of life, that question comes pretty naturally.
And you can be honest with Him.
But alongside that question, try praying, “Lord, while I’m walking through this, help me learn what You want me to know.”
James 1:5 says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.”
Maybe you need patience for the waiting. Maybe you need courage to ask for help. Maybe you need to loosen your grip on something you’ve been trying so hard to control.
You don’t have to sort it all out before bedtime. Bring it to the Lord and pray, “Father, teach me, guide me, and help me trust You with what I don’t understand.”
Lay your head down tonight knowing you are loved, and you won’t face tomorrow alone.
