The Harvest Is Waiting!

“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” — Matthew 9:37–38 (KJV)

Out here in the backyard, you can almost smell it when harvest time rolls around—the air changes. The fields turn golden, the tractors start moving, and there’s a sense of urgency. Jesus looked out across the fields of humanity and said, “The harvest is plenteous.” In other words, the world is ripe—ready for hope, ready for healing, ready for Him.

But then He said something that ought to stir our hearts: “The labourers are few.” The problem isn’t with the harvest; it’s with the hands. God’s not short on souls to save—He’s waiting on servants who’ll say, “Here am I, Lord. Send me.”

So today, instead of asking God to move somebody else, what if we prayed, “Lord, move me.”

Help me see the hurting. Help me notice the needy. Help me bring light to my little corner of the field.

The world doesn’t need more spectators—it needs sowers, reapers, and encouragers willing to roll up their sleeves and love people in Jesus’ name.

The harvest is ready, friend. The question is—are we?

What God Says!

And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.” — Judges 6:12 (KJV)

You ever notice how God calls you something long before you ever feel like it? Gideon was hiding from his enemies when God called him a mighty man of valor.

That’s a funny picture — a man in a winepress, ducking for cover, being called a warrior. But that’s exactly how God works. He doesn’t speak to where you are; He speaks to where you’re going.

Sometimes life makes you feel small — like you’re not enough, not ready, or not qualified. But the moment God steps into your story, He calls out the strength you didn’t even know was in you.

Gideon didn’t become mighty because he suddenly got brave — he became mighty because God reminded him, “I’m with you.”

So whatever battle you’re facing today, remember this: you’re not fighting alone. You’re not forgotten. And you’re not finished.

The same God who found Gideon in the hiding place can find you right where you are and turn your fear into faith, your weakness into weapon, and your worry into worship.

Lean into His Word today — and let Him remind you who you really are: a mighty man or woman of valor.

Reflection: What would change in your life today if you believed what God calls you more than what fear whispers to you?

A Clean Heart!

Psalm 51:10 – “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

You ever had one of those days where you wish you could just hit the reset button? David did too. Psalm 51 was written after one of his biggest failures — and yet, it became one of his most beautiful prayers.

He didn’t say, “Fix what’s left of my heart,” or “Polish it up a little.” He said, “Create in me a clean heart.” That word create means make something out of nothing. David wasn’t asking God to remodel his mess — he was asking for a miracle.

Maybe today you’re tired, worn down, or feeling like you’ve messed up too bad for God to use you again. Friend, that’s not true. God specializes in clean starts and new hearts.

When you come to Him with honesty, He doesn’t rub your sin in — He washes it away. He doesn’t throw you out — He lifts you up. He doesn’t give up on you — He renews you from the inside out.

So take a deep breath, right where you are, and pray David’s prayer: “Create in me a clean heart, O God.”

Because when your heart gets right, your whole life starts to beat in rhythm with His again.
