My name is Michael Joe Harvell, and I live my life with one simple mission: to glorify God, encourage people, and leave this world a little better than I found it. You Are Not Alone In Your Pain!

“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” -Psalm 34:18 (KJV)

Friend, there are moments in life when your heart feels so heavy that words simply will not come. Maybe you’ve experienced loss, disappointment, betrayal, or a burden that no one else fully understands. If that’s where you are today, I want you to hear this wonderful promise from God’s Word: “The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.”

Notice what the verse does not say. It does not say the Lord stays far away until we get ourselves together. It says He draws near to the brokenhearted. God is never intimidated by your tears. He is not bothered by your questions. He is not disappointed because you are hurting. In fact, He comes closest when your heart is at its weakest.

Sometimes we think God is most present on the mountaintops, but many of us have discovered His sweetest presence in the valleys. It is often in our deepest pain that we experience His greatest peace. While others may not understand your struggle, the Lord understands every heartbeat, every tear, and every silent prayer.

So if your heart feels broken today, don’t run from God. Run to Him. He is near. He is faithful. He is able to heal what no one else can heal and restore what seems beyond repair.

Remember this today: your brokenness is not the end of your story. It may very well be the place where you discover just how close the heart of God really is.

What You’re Going Through Won’t Compare to What’s Coming!

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” -Romans 8:18 (KJV)

Friend, if you are walking through a difficult season today, I want to remind you that what you are experiencing right now is not the end of your story.

The Apostle Paul knew something about suffering. He endured persecution, imprisonment, hardships, and heartache. Yet he could boldly say, “The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

Notice those words: this present time. Your pain is real, but it is temporary. Your tears may last for a season, but God’s promises last forever. The burden you carry today cannot compare to the joy, peace, and glory God has prepared for those who love Him.

Sometimes we focus so much on what we are going through that we forget where we are going. As believers, our hope is not anchored in our circumstances. Our hope is anchored in Christ. He is with us in the valley, He strengthens us in the struggle, and He promises a future far greater than anything we leave behind.

So do not give up. Do not let discouragement have the final word. Keep trusting God when you cannot see the whole picture. Keep praying when the answers seem delayed. Keep walking by faith.

Because one day, you will look back and discover that God’s glory far outweighed your greatest trial.

And until that day, remember this: What you are going through is temporary, but what God has prepared for you is eternal. Hold on. God is not finished with you yet.
