The Jouney!

I’ve been thinking about the idea that there are no mistakes! There is no such thing as coincidence. Things that happen in our life are not random, no matter how much they may seem so. There is purpose to everything, which is a hard pill for us to swallow, because it’s just easier for us to believe that things happen for no reason at all, which we accept, because most of us are too lazy to invest the time to think things through from the perspective of our spirit.

We are travelling along a path, on a spiritual journey, where we get to live moment by moment, seeking to grow to the highest version of ourself. When we learn to loosen up, just live and enjoy ourselves, we begin to live in the ebb and flow of the spirit, which allows us to experience the perfection we were created for.

Robert Frost said: ”Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.”

We have a choice and our every choice has a consequence. Often we live our lives without giving any thought to our choices and the consequences tied to them. Our ego encourages us to ignore the obvious if it doesn’t fit our preconceived notions and ideas. But our choices do have consequences and sometimes the consequences are more than we are willing to live with, but the truth is: living with the hard, difficult and challenging does a work in us and through us that nothing else can accomplish.

”Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.” -James 1:2-4

What we discover on the path of life is that Heaven comes to earth through the challenges, frustrations and disappointments of life. There are no accidents, everything has a purpose and every step we take along the journey is our master teacher, offering us wisdom to grow so that we may be pure, complete and lacking nothing…

Peace Of Mind!

The mind is a very powerful thing. With our mind, we can make or break life. We can give into the limits of the flesh or tap into the unlimited power of our Creator. This is very often a battle we find ourself engaged in and rather than fight our way through it, any times we just give up with the attitude that “this is just life!”

But, it’s not just life, unless we choose for it to be. We have the power, if we are willing to utilize it. We will either control our mind or our mind will control us. When our mind connects with it’s Creator, we have the potential to be positive, creative and intuitive, which leads to our growing and being a blessing.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. -Colossians 3:2

By allowing our mind to connect with Spirit, we are making a choice to not give up control, but to take control back with God’s help to make our mind and His mind one. To set our mind is to make a choice in the direction that we are going to allow it to be empowered.

God is love and when m mind becomes love, I am invited to be a co-creator with the great “I AM” and I am destined for breakthroughs, miracles and blessings as I learn to walk with confidence through God’s mercy, grace and love. This is a beautiful thing!

When we allow our ind to connect and yield to God’s Spirit, we are able to take on and take out the wrong, self defeating and limiting thoughts of this world we live in. Our mind can be a worst enemy or a best friend. When we train our I’d to see, understand and act as our Creator, the dimension of the miraculous opens up and the unexplainable begins to manifest in incredible and breath taking ways.

Set your mind on things above, you will be glad you did!

Ego Vesus Heart!

Sometimes it seems as if I am in a constant battle with my ego and I know this takes me away from the things I really want, the things that my spirit knows is best for me. My ego is the idea that I am what I do, what I have or what I think other people think of me, and the truth is: I am so much more and so are you!

This battle with my ego often causes my heart to become hard and encourages me to be moody, arrogant and selfish, which is the exact opposite of what I really am and what I truly want to be. I was created with a soft and tender heart that says: “I am peace, humble and giving all wrapped up in supernatural love.”

When I am my real self, my spirit self, the self that God created me to be, then God is able to move through me and it is such a wonderful and amazing experience that words cannot even come close to explaining. This is an experience where self gets out of the way and allows Spirit to shine all the beautiful gifts to and through my spirit’s presence in this human experience.

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” -Ephesians 4:31-32

So take a few moments today to realize this life is sometimes a very real battle, but it is a battle worth engaging in and ultimately winning. And to win the battle with the ego, we must focus on doing two things:

1. We must get rid of all, not some of the by-products of ego. We have to take on, take out and get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, brawling, slander and every form of malice.

2. We must replace the empty space with kindness, compassion and forgiveness. In others words: We give to others what God has given to us. We cannot give something to someone else, if we do not have it for ourself, so first we must receive the kindness, compassion and forgiveness and then we are empowered to share it with others.

Getting rid of the bad and replacing it with the good empowers us from the inside out and gives us a victory that cannot be obtained in any other way. It is a battle, but it’s a battle worth fighting to get our heart soft, tender and ready for the supernatural seed of the Almighty…
