“…weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5

Good morning, my friend!

Have you ever noticed that nighttime always seems longer when you’re hurting?

When your heart is heavy, when you’re worried about somebody you love, when you’re waiting on an answer, or when you simply don’t know what tomorrow holds, the darkness can feel like it’s never going to end.

But Psalm 30:5 gives us a promise worth holding onto:

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”

Notice that David didn’t say there wouldn’t be any weeping.

Sometimes following God means walking through some difficult nights.

There will be tears.

There will be disappointments.

There will be prayers that seem unanswered.

There will be seasons when you wonder what God is doing.

But here’s the good news:

The night has an expiration date!

Weeping may endure for a night, but it doesn’t get to stay forever.

Morning is coming.

God is still working.

God is still faithful.

God is still with you.

And God is not finished with your story.

So if you’re walking through a dark season today, don’t give up in the middle of the night.

Keep praying.

Keep trusting.

Keep believing.

Keep putting one foot in front of the other.

You may have cried last night, but this could be the morning when you begin to see what God has been doing all along.

Hold on, my friend.

The darkness doesn’t get the final word.

“Faith is not about everything turning out okay. Faith is about being okay no matter how things turn out.”

Faith does not mean that every prayer will be answered the way we hoped. It does not mean every door will open, every sickness will disappear, or every difficult season will end quickly.

Faith means that even when life does not turn out the way we planned, we still trust the One who holds our lives in His hands.

Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.”

Notice that the Bible does not say all things are good. Some things hurt. Some things disappoint us. Some things leave us with questions we cannot answer. But God can take every broken piece, every unexpected turn, and every painful chapter and work it together for our good and His glory.

You may not be okay with what happened, but because God is with you, you are going to be okay.

Your peace does not come from knowing how everything will turn out. Your peace comes from knowing that God will never leave you, never forsake you, and never stop working on your behalf.

So take a deep breath, place your situation in God’s hands, and trust Him with the outcome.

God has you and you have this, whatever this is!

Have you ever wondered why God hasn’t changed your situation yet?

You’ve prayed. You’ve waited. You’ve tried to be faithful. And still, nothing seems to be happening.

Listen to 1 Peter 5:6:

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”

Those last two words are important: due time.

God’s timing is rarely our timing. We want answers now. We want the door to open today. We want the burden lifted immediately. But sometimes God is doing something in us before He does something for us.

Peter says to humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand. In other words, stop trying to control everything and trust the One who already has everything under control.

You may feel overlooked, but God sees you.

You may feel forgotten, but God knows exactly where you are.

You may wonder when your season will change, but God already knows the appointed time.

And remember this: the same mighty hand you are under is the mighty hand that can lift you up.

So don’t force the door.

Don’t rush the process.

Don’t give up because it hasn’t happened yet.

Stay humble. Stay faithful. Keep trusting God.

Your responsibility is faithfulness.

God’s responsibility is the timing.

And when the time is right, you won’t have to promote yourself, prove yourself, or push your way forward.

God Himself will lift you up.

So today, rest under His mighty hand.

Your due time is in His hands.
