Today Is Your Best Day!

Today Is Your Best Day! That’s right, today, not yesterday and not tomorrow. Today, because today is what you’ve got. So many of us miss the blessing of the moment because we are either stuck in the past or worried about the future. Today is what you’ve got, so enjoy today as your best day.

Today Is Your Best Day, Because You Are Here! Right now in this very moment you exist and have opportunity to make this moment whatever you want it to be. If you want it to be happy, it will be happy. If you want it to be sad, it will be sad. This moment is your opportunity to follow the example of your Creator and “create” whatever it is that you desire.

Today Is Your Best Day, Because Yesterday Is Over! Yesterday has already been lived and you cannot live yesterday again. Hopefully, you learned whatever it was that yesterday was trying to teach you, so that you can grow on. Don’t get stuck on yesterday, because it can cause you to miss and waste today and today is your best day.

Today Is Your Best Day, Because God Is Using Today To Prepare You! God is using today to prepare you for whatever it is that He has in store for you and it is always something amazing. Yesterday is the past, tomorrow is the future and today is the present, so accept it as the GIFT that it is and make it your best day yet.

Coorie ten Boom used to say: “God doesn’t have problems, He has plans!” And today is your best day, because whatever comes your way, it’s not a problem, it is just a part of God’s plan to grow you into the kinda of person that makes every day their best day… 🙏🏻

Transition Is About Transformation!

Here I come back to this page to share a little bit of the mystery of life, I am continuing to unravel as I live and breathe. Life is a funny thing, just when we finally seem to get it where we want it, when we seem to be happy and satisfied, when change is the last thing we have on our minds, it seems that out of nowhere, life presents us with the gift of transition.

Transition is about change and like it or not, change is a part of life. We may be able to dely it or redirect it temporarily, but we cannot stop it. The best thing to do, is to learn to embrace it and grow through it, because it is ultimatley about taking us to a better place in life. Life lived in the right direction is an incredible journey that takes us to amazing destinations.

Life is stressful, but it does not have to be as stressful as we often make it. A lot of life is about having and keeping the right mind set. Some times transitions are predictiable and at other times they are toally random. Either way, if we can learn to roll with it, then life will be a lot less stressful.

Looking back on life, we can see where we have gone through transitions we thought were going to kill us, but we survived and in many cases, we actually thrived. We can learn so much from our past about transitions, if we will take the time to pay attention and remember what really matters.

I currently find myself in the midst of many different transitions and I am learning to embrace them and enjoy the journey. Transitions hold a special place in our lives and often mark very special before and after moments. The older we get, the more we can see the benefits of transtions and so, it actually becomes a little bit easier pill to swallow.

Transitions can be stressful if we look at them the wrong way, but if we learn to look at them in the right way, they can serve as motivational and actually challenge us to rise above by spreading our wings to fly.

The truth is, life would be very boring without the transitions. Transitions keep us from becoming stagnant, they help to heal us from our becoming sick and and keep us from dying, so that we might live to fight another day. Transitions help us to stay focused on what really matters and encourage us to stay fresh and ready for whatever???

I have also found that transitions are great for reflection. They make me think about where I have been and where I am going. They make me think about what has worked and what is not working. They cause me not only reflect, but often to re-evaluate what is really important in the grand scheme of life.

In almost every transition we face in life, there will be positives and negatives. We have to learn from them both, while not allowing the negatives to distract us from what really matters.

Transition is not just a part of life, it is life, so open yourself to wherever and whatever your next transition is taking you to and enjoy the gift of life that keeps on giving, because at the end of the day, it is really about your transformation into the something better and more beautiful that your Creator has created you to be…

If I Won The Lottery???

This is one of those things that I doubt would ever happen, because I don’t play the lottery, but it is still fun to think about. It’s kinda fun watching folks happen upon unexpected riches and then watch what they do and how they live, but I am not so sure that a bunch of money would change that much for me.

If I won the lottery, I would choose to live right where I am living today. The place we live is not just our house, it is our home. My Bride’s PaPa and MaMa built the house and there are reminders of them all around the place, inside and outside too. It’s not a big house, but it is big enough for us. My Bride always said that her dream house would be brick ranch style house with a circle driveway in front and that is exactly what we have. It’s very comfortable and there is land to work a garden right beside it. We might would upgrade a few things, like the barn and flower beds, but we are happy with our home, it’s comforts and the joy it brings our family.

If I won the lottery, I would continue to work and minister. I don’t really do either of those things for the money, because there are a lot of ways that I could make a lot more money. I do these things, because it’s what I am called and gifted to do and because this is where my joy comes from. I enjoy getting up early and going to bed tired. I love the opportunity to serve others. We live a pretty blessed life and have learned to be happy with what God has blessed us with.

If I won the lottery, I probably would buy a more reliable and comfortable vehicle. I mean if I had the money to splurge??? What would I buy? I really don’t have any idea, but it would be kinda fun trying to figure it out.

I’ve never had a lot of money and I don’t think a lot of money could buy me a life as happy and blessed as the life I am living. I don’t think money is a bad thing, in fact, I like having some to do with as I please, but my happiness if not dependent on it.

Life has a way of teaching you what really matters. A family and friends that you love and that love you back, a roof over your head, food to eat and a way to get from “a to b” and you are pretty much set for an amazing life, at least that’s what I think.

P.S. One more thing I thought about! If I won the lottery and had more money than I knew what to do with, then I would buy a place at Fripp Island, because it is one of my favorite escapes. I would want a place big enough that I could always bring family and friends to share it with, because I just can’t keep the good stuff to myself, the real joy and pleasure comes from sharing!!! 😎
