Open Your Life To Love!

Love is one of those words that gets tossed around in a rather haphazard way now a days. People are quick to proclaim their love. In fact, you might say you love your significant other, pepperoni pizza, a new pair of shoes and the list could go on and on and on. What do we really mean when we say love?

The reality is that love can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Some people spend their entire life time “looking for love in all the wrong places”. I think it’s true that “love makes the world go around”, so why do so many of us seem to miss it? Could it be that we have made love to be something that it’s not and therefore we aren’t even looking in the right direction, because we are looking for something of our own creation, rather than for what love actually is?

Rather than thinking of love as something we are trying to obtain, find, possess or be possessed by; maybe we should try to understand love as something that we are. I believe that we are created by love and since love is our source, then we are love. Love, then is not something I have, it is what I am, if I choose to be. I am what I empower with my thoughts, which contribute to my actions and reactions.

Here are a few tips to help you: Open Your Life To Love…

1. Allow Yourself To Be Loved! You are loved. You don’t have to look for it, work for it or earn it. The fact that you exist is evidence you are loved. The reality that you are growing and developing is proof you are loved. You need to open yourself to this love by receiving it, by believing it, by letting it flow into and through your life!

2. Let The Love Flow! Once you begin to receive love, the way to grow it, is by sharing it with others. I like to say: “An evidence that you truly have something and that it has you, is that you share it with others.” A current of water becomes powerful in it’s flow. Without the flow, it stagnates and produces death. This is why sharing love is so important. Look for others to share love with. Look for different ways to share love. The more you share, the more real it becomes and the more real it becomes to you, is the more pure and powerful it becomes in your life and living.

3. Embrace The Idea That Love Is More! To love and be loved, it’s what you were created for, but maybe it’s not what you expect. To truly understand and appreciate good, we must experience some bad. It’s the rainy gray days that help us to fall in love with the sunshine beach days that never leave our memory. To experience that which can’t be explained with words, we have to open ourselves to risk again and again and again. We have to step out of our comfort zones, expected norms and living life as usual to have the supernatural encounters that leave us speechless and marked for life.

The Right Perspective!

“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”  -John 14:1-3

BELIEVE!  Life is tough and it is going to throw you curve balls.  In fact, life will throw you a knuckle ball right upside the nose every now and then.  On the best days, it’s not easy, but it is possible to live a blessed life and a blessed life makes all the difference.  You have access to control how you take it and what you do with it.  Jesus said:  “Let not your heart be troubled!” indicating that we make the choice.  Sometimes, you just have to grab hold of your emotions and let them know who the real boss is.  The best way to do this is by fighting your fear with faith.  Jesus said:  “Believe in God, believe also in me!” and if your really believe, then this is a “game changer!”  No matter what you are going through, remember:  Don’t Panic – God’s got this!

CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE!  After we get our belief fixed, we then need to focus on changing our perspective.  We do this, by moving from the finite limited time and space of this moment to the infinite, unlimited time and space of eternity.  Whatever you are facing right now, ask yourself this question:  “What’s the worse thing that can happen?”  Ask this question enough times and you are probably going to come up with the answer:  Death!  Well, death is no big deal for Believer!  Jesus moved from a present perspective to an eternal perspective when he said:  “In my Father’s house are many dwelling places and I go to prepare a place for you!”

Next time you find yourself fretting over something, ask yourself this question:  “What is this going to matter 100 years from now?”

The Scriptures teach us in Philippians 1:21 that to live is Christ and to die is gain!  This physical body is simply my “FLESH SUIT!”  One of these days when this body dies, I am going to take off this flesh suit and then I will really fly!  Death is not a big deal, because it is just me separating from this body and the 70, 80 0 r 90 years, which are a small blip on the radar screen compared to ETERNITY!

The enemy wants to put blinders on you, so that all you can see is your problem, challenge or frustration, but don’t fall for the trick!  The enemy wants you to lose and forget about your eternal perspective, but don’t you dare trade in the good stuff of your Creator!  Use your memory and look back at all the times that you thought your ship was sunk, but the blessings came through and you can say with the Psalmist in 103:  “Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not none of his benefits!”

Now this is living blessed and it is what you were created for – get you some of that and live blessed!

Blessed From Desperation To Inspiration…

Michael Joe, a follower of Christ Jesus by the will of God and through the leading of His Spirit.  To the Saints who are living in the Upstate of South Carolina and who place, express and live out their faith in Christ Jesus.  Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Oh how blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every possible spiritual blessing, blessings which we know are waiting for us in the heavenly places in Christ, just as we were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world, that you and I might be holy and blameless before Him.

In His unlimited love, He chose to adopt us as His sons and daughters though Jesus Christ to himself, according to the kind intention of His will and to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely gave to each of us in and through His beloved Son.

In Jesus we have redemption, restoration and relationship through his blood, the forgiveness of our sins and failures, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished on us, not because we have earned it or deserved it, but simply because He loves us.

In all Heavenly wisdom and Supernatural insight, He made known to us the incredible mystery of His perfect will, according to the kind intention which finds it’s purpose in and through Jesus, with a view to an administration and application suitable to the fullness of the times, that is to the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth.

Also in Jesus we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, for the purpose and to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.

In Him, we also after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of our salvation – having also believed, we were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given to us as a pledge and promise of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory as we move from desperation to inspiration.
