God Is Still God!

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” -Genesis 1:1

Before there was light, there was God.

Before there was a sunrise, a mountain, a river, or a single heartbeat, there was God.

Genesis does not begin with confusion. It does not begin with chaos winning. It does not begin with darkness having the final word.

It begins with God.

That simple truth settles a lot of questions in life.

When life feels uncertain…

When the future feels unclear…

When the world seems loud and unstable…

Remember this: God was there before it all started.

Nothing catches Him by surprise. Nothing appears on the horizon that He has not already seen. Nothing unfolds that He cannot handle.

Think about it.

The same God who spoke galaxies into existence with a word…

The same God who hung the stars in the sky like lanterns in the night…

The same God who designed oceans, mountains, and the breath in your lungs…

That God is still God today.

And if He was powerful enough to create the universe from nothing, He is powerful enough to handle whatever you are facing.

Genesis 1:1 is more than a history lesson.

It is a reminder.

Your story does not begin with your problems.

Your story does not begin with your fears.

Your story begins where all things begin:

With God.

And when God is at the beginning, He will also be at the middle and the end.

So take a deep breath today.

The God who created everything…

Is still holding everything together.

And that includes you.

You Are Right!

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” -Romans 5:1

Every person I know is looking for peace. Some look for it in success. Others chase it through possessions, recognition, or trying to prove themselves good enough. But real peace does not come from what we achieve. It comes from what Christ has already accomplished.

Romans 5:1 gives us one of the most beautiful truths in the Bible. It says we are justified by faith. That word justified is a courtroom word. It means declared righteous. Not because we earned it. Not because we deserved it. But because Jesus paid the price for us.

Think about that for a moment. The God of heaven is not at war with you anymore. Through Jesus, the hostility is gone, the debt is paid, and the verdict has been settled.

And what is the result? Peace with God.

Not temporary calm. Not a moment of relief. But a settled peace deep in the soul that says, Everything between me and God has been made right.

That means you do not have to live under guilt. You do not have to keep trying to prove yourself worthy. Through faith in Christ, the work has already been done.

So today, take a deep breath and rest in that truth.

If you belong to Jesus, you are forgiven, you are justified, and you are at peace with God.

And that kind of peace can steady your heart no matter what the day brings.

The Good Shepherd!

John 10:11 says, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

I’ve always loved the picture Jesus paints there. A shepherd isn’t distant. He isn’t detached. A shepherd lives with the sheep. He walks where they walk. He watches when they rest. He protects when danger comes.

And Jesus says, “That’s who I am.”

Not a hired hand who runs when things get hard.

Not someone who only shows up when it’s convenient.

But the Good Shepherd.

The hired hand might care about the paycheck.

But the shepherd cares about the sheep.

And the greatest proof of that love is the cross.

Jesus didn’t just talk about loving us—He laid down His life for us.

When we were wandering…

When we were weak…

When we were lost…

The Good Shepherd stepped between us and our danger and said, “I’ll take it.”

That means today you are not alone.

You are not unprotected.

You are not forgotten.

The Good Shepherd knows your name.

He knows where you are.

And He is watching over you with a love that was proven at Calvary.

So if life feels uncertain today, just remember this simple truth:

You belong to a Shepherd who loved you enough to die for you—and who lives today to lead you.
