Power In The Word!

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…” (Joshua 1:8)

There’s a reason God told Joshua to stay close to His Word—because the battle wasn’t just with swords and shields. It was with fear, uncertainty, and the weight of leading people forward. Sound familiar?

You and I may not be standing on the banks of the Jordan River, but we’ve got our own crossings to make—challenges at work, struggles at home, decisions that feel too big for us. But here’s the promise: If you stay in the Word, the Word will stay in you.

Meditate on it day and night—when you rise and when you lay your head down. Let it be the soundtrack to your steps, the whisper behind your worries, the fire behind your faith.

God didn’t call you to be fearful—He called you to be faithful. And the key to success isn’t found in strength or strategy—it’s found in staying close to Scripture.

So hold your Bible close. Speak its truth. Think on its promises. Walk in its wisdom. Because when the Word gets in you, courage rises, clarity comes, and God makes your way prosperous—not just in things, but in purpose.

You’ve got this. Not because you’re strong—but because He is with you, and His Word is in you.

Keep walking. Keep meditating. Keep trusting.

Run Your Race!

Well bless your heart for hanging in there, because Hebrews 12:1 is a breath of fresh wind for the weary runner…

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1 KJV)

Now friend, this ain’t no sprint—it’s a long obedience in the same direction. Life is not about how fast you go, it’s about staying faithful every step of the way. And guess what? You’re not running alone. Heaven is packed with a cheering section that’s already made the journey, and they’re shouting, “Keep going! Don’t quit now!”

But here’s the thing: some of us are trying to run while carrying stuff we were never meant to haul. Guilt. Grudges. Fear. Comparison. It’s like trying to run a marathon in cowboy boots and a backpack full of bricks.

The writer says, “Lay it aside.” Let it go. The weight. The sin. The distractions. Don’t let what’s behind you keep you from what’s in front of you.

God has already marked out your race. You ain’t running somebody else’s course—this one’s got your name on it. So run it with patience. Run it with purpose. Run it knowing that Jesus is at the finish line, arms wide open, cheering you on every step of the way.

Now tighten up those laces, child of God. Breathe in grace. Breathe out doubt. And run like you’ve already won—because in Christ, you have.

Stand Strong!

“But none of these things move me…” (Acts 20:24, KJV)

I was sittin’ on the porch, sippin’ coffee out of my favorite chipped mug—the one with the faded words “Finish Strong.” I watched as a storm started to roll in across the fields. The Wind picked up. Trees swayed. But that old oak out in the front yard? It didn’t flinch. It’s Been through hurricanes, ice storms, and summers so dry the ground cracked… but it’s still standin’.

And that’s what Paul was sayin’ in Acts 20:24. “None of these things move me.” Not the threats. Not the chains. Not the tears. Because his eyes were locked on the finish line. His heart was anchored in the calling. And his soul was set on the One who called him.

Sometimes life will try to shake you loose—doctor’s reports, bad news, fear, failure, regret—but child of God, you ain’t got to be moved. Because if your purpose is rooted in Christ, then no storm can steal it.

So today, plant your feet. Square your shoulders. Set your eyes on Jesus. And say it loud with your life:

“None of these things move me…”

Because I’ve got a race to run, a gospel to preach, and a Savior to glorify.

Let the wind blow. Let the storm rage.

I ain’t quittin’. I’m finishin’ strong.
