Welcome, friend—I’m glad you’ve pulled up a chair on the front porch of my little corner of the internet. “The Peace You’re Looking For Is Found Here!”

“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” –Psalms 4:8

Friend, when David wrote these words, he wasn’t living a carefree life. He was surrounded by uncertainty, opposition, and difficulty. Yet he could speak with complete confidence because his peace was rooted in God, not in his circumstances.

That same truth is available to you today.

We live in a world that is constantly trying to steal our peace. There are deadlines to meet, bills to pay, difficult conversations to have, and problems we can’t always solve. If we’re not careful, anxiety can begin to take control of our hearts.

But David reminds us that our security is found in the Lord alone. Notice he didn’t say, “I dwell in safety because everything is going my way.” He said, “Thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” His confidence rested in the character of God.

Whatever you’re facing today, remember that the Lord is walking beside you. He goes before you into every meeting, every challenge, every decision, and every opportunity. Nothing you encounter today will catch Him by surprise.

So don’t allow fear to dictate your attitude. Walk forward with confidence. Trust God’s wisdom more than your own understanding. Rest in His promises even while you’re wide awake and going about your day.

The God who gives peace at night is the same God who gives strength during the day. Keep your eyes on Him, trust His leading, and let His peace guard your heart every step of the way.

You Were Created on Purpose, for a Purpose!

‘For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” -Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)

Someone once said, “God never creates anything without a purpose.” That includes you.

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us, “For we are his workmanship…” The word workmanship speaks of something carefully crafted by the hands of a master. Think about that. You are not an accident. You are not a mistake. You are not here by chance. The God who spoke the universe into existence also designed your life with intention and purpose.

Sometimes we compare ourselves to others and wonder why our lives don’t look like theirs. But God never called you to be someone else. He created you to be the person He designed you to become. He has given you unique gifts, experiences, and opportunities that no one else has.

Notice Paul says we are “created in Christ Jesus unto good works.” We are not saved by good works, but we are certainly saved for good works. Every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, every opportunity to serve, and every moment of faithfulness matters in God’s kingdom.

Maybe today feels ordinary. Maybe you’re headed to work, caring for your family, or simply doing the routine things of life. Don’t underestimate what God can do through ordinary people who are willing to be faithful. Often the greatest purposes are fulfilled through simple acts of obedience.

So walk into this day with confidence. God is still shaping you. He is still using you. And He already knows the path He has prepared for you.

You were created on purpose, for a purpose, by a God who never makes mistakes.
