I Am!

Friend, there are moments in life when you don’t need an explanation—you need a Presence.

In Exodus 3:14, God speaks from a burning bush and says, “I AM THAT I AM.” Not I was. Not I will be when things calm down. Just I AM.

That name tells us something powerful. God is not limited by your past or intimidated by your future. He is fully present right now. When Moses was standing barefoot on holy ground, worried about Pharaoh, his stutter, and his inadequacy, God didn’t hand him a plan. He handed him a name.

I AM.

Whatever you’re facing today, God already is what you need. If you’re tired, He says, “I AM your strength.” If you’re confused, “I AM your wisdom.” If you’re brokenhearted, “I AM your comfort.” He didn’t say, “I’ll become it someday.” He said, “I AM.”

I love that this happened on ordinary ground. A shepherd on the back side of the desert, doing a regular day’s work, suddenly realizes God is closer than he ever imagined. That’s front-porch truth right there. God doesn’t wait for you to get it all together. He shows up right where you are.

So today, take off the shoes of fear and self-doubt. Stand still for a moment. Breathe. And remember this: the same God who revealed Himself as I AM is with you now.

And whatever your need is today—He already is.

The Beginning!

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” -Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

Sometimes the most powerful truths are tucked into the simplest sentences.

Genesis doesn’t start with advice. It doesn’t start with rules. It starts with God.

Before the chaos, before the questions, before the broken pieces of your story, God was already there.

Before light had a switch and oceans had a shoreline, God was creating on purpose.

That means your life didn’t begin with confusion. It began with intention.

I like to think of Genesis 1:1 as a front-porch reminder for weary hearts. When life feels undone, when your plans feel scattered like tools left out in the yard after a long day, Scripture whispers, “God still creates.”

He creates order out of chaos.

Hope out of darkness. Purpose out of what looks empty.

And if God can speak galaxies into place, He can surely handle what’s weighing on you today.

So take a breath. Rock back a little. The same God who began it all is still at work and He hasn’t lost His touch.

Friend, this is not the end of your story. It’s just another beginning in the hands of a Creator who knows exactly what He’s doing.

Love Like You’re Loved!

The apostle John writes these simple, weighty words in 1 John 4:11: “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.”

Notice how it starts — Beloved.

Before John tells us what to do, he reminds us who we are. Loved. Fully. Completely. Without reservation.

God didn’t wait for us to get it all together. He didn’t love us halfway or conditionally. He loved us first, loved us fully, and loved us sacrificially. The cross settled that forever.

And here’s the front-porch truth:

The love God pours into us is never meant to stop with us.

It’s meant to spill over into our marriages, our friendships, our churches, and even into the difficult relationships we’d rather avoid. Loving others isn’t about personality or preference — it’s about reflection. We love because we’ve been loved.

Some days loving others feels hard. But on those days, we don’t dig deeper into our strength — we lean deeper into His love. When we remember how much grace we’ve received, love becomes less of a burden and more of a blessing.

So today, love someone on purpose.

Not because they earned it — but because God already loved you first.
