Sometimes life can feel lonely, even when we are surrounded by people. There are moments when the road seems quiet, the answers seem distant, and the burdens feel heavier than we ever expected to carry. But Psalm 145:18 reminds us of something powerful and comforting: God is never far away from a heart that calls on Him.

Notice what the verse says — The Lord is nigh. That means He is close. Not just aware. Not just watching from a distance. He is near. Close enough to hear your whisper. Close enough to see your tears. Close enough to walk with you through whatever you are facing today.

God does not ask for fancy words or perfect prayers. He simply asks for a sincere heart. When you call on Him in truth, when you come honestly, humbly, and openly, He draws near. You do not have to pretend. You do not have to perform. You just have to call.

There is great peace in knowing that we never pray alone. Every prayer rises to the ear of a loving Father who cares deeply about every detail of our lives. The same God who set the stars in place is attentive to the cry of your heart today.

So whatever you are carrying, take it to Him. Call on Him in truth. Tell Him what is on your heart. He is near right now. Closer than you think. Closer than your fears. Closer than your doubts.

And when God is near, hope is near. Peace is near. Strength is near.
