Matthew 28:6 KJV
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
Early on that first Easter morning, the stone was rolled away, not so Jesus could get out, but so we could see in. The grave that once held sorrow now held silence. The place that once represented finality now testified of victory.
Those simple words, He is not here, changed everything.
The cross declared His love.
The empty tomb declared His power.
The resurrection declared that nothing, absolutely nothing, can stop the promises of God.
Jesus had said He would rise, and just as He said, He did.
There are moments in life when it feels like hope has been buried, when prayers seem unanswered, when circumstances look final. But Easter reminds us that God is still in the business of rolling stones away. What looks like an ending to us is often just the beginning of something greater in His hands.
The same power that raised Christ from the dead is the power that gives us hope today. Because He lives, our past can be forgiven. Because He lives, our present can be strengthened. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow.
The empty tomb is more than a place in history, it is a promise for today.
Whatever feels heavy in your heart, whatever seems impossible in your life, remember this: the stone did not win, the grave did not win, death did not win.
Jesus won.
And because He lives, hope lives too. ✨🙏
