Do You Want To Overcome What’s Trying To Overcome You?

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” -John 16:33

Sometimes life feels heavier than we expected. Plans change. Prayers seem delayed. And the road can get rougher than we thought it would be. Jesus never hid that truth from us. He said plainly, “In the world ye shall have tribulation.” Trouble is part of the journey.

But He did not stop there.

He followed that statement with a promise filled with hope: “Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

That means whatever you are facing today is not bigger than the Savior who walks beside you. The same One who calmed the sea can calm your heart. The same One who conquered death can handle what concerns you today.

Peace is not found in everything going our way. Peace is found in knowing that Jesus is greater than anything coming our way.

You may feel pressed, but you are not forsaken. You may feel weary, but you are not alone. You may feel uncertain, but your future is still in the hands of the One who has already overcome the world.

Take a deep breath today and remember this: God is not surprised by what you are facing. He is already at work in it. What feels like a setback may actually be setting the stage for a testimony.

So lift your heart. Hold on to hope. Keep trusting. Keep believing.

Because the One who overcame the world is still writing your story — and He always writes better endings than we could ever imagine.
