The Unseen Hand!

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” -2 Corinthians 4:18

There is a lot in life that demands our attention. Bills, burdens, bad news, and broken situations all have a way of getting right in front of our eyes. The problem is that when we focus only on what we can see, we can start to lose heart.

Paul reminds us of something powerful in this verse. The things we see are temporary. The struggle you are facing today will not last forever. The storm you are walking through is not permanent. The pressure you feel right now is only for a season.

But there is another reality that is greater than what we see. There is the unseen work of God.

God is working in hearts you cannot see.

God is preparing blessings you cannot yet see.

God is shaping your character in ways you may not recognize yet.

Faith lifts our eyes above the temporary and reminds us that eternity is real. Heaven is real. The promises of God are real.

So today, do not measure your life only by what is in front of you. Lift your eyes a little higher. Trust the God who is working behind the scenes.

What is seen may feel heavy today, but what is unseen will last forever. And God is already at work in it.
