Jesus said in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
There are moments in life when the path ahead feels dim. You know where you are, but you’re not sure where you’re going. The shadows feel long, and the questions feel heavy. But Jesus didn’t say He would hand you a flashlight and wish you luck. He said, “I am the light.”
Light doesn’t argue with darkness. It doesn’t negotiate. It simply shows up, and darkness has no choice but to move out of the way. When Jesus steps into your life, confusion gives way to clarity, fear gives way to peace, and wandering gives way to purpose.
Notice the promise: “He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness.” The key isn’t having all the answers. The key is staying close to the Light. One step with Jesus is brighter than a thousand steps taken alone.
So today, don’t curse the darkness. Follow the Light. And as you do, you’ll discover what Jesus promised all along—the light of life is enough to guide you home.
