Some doors don’t look dangerous.
They don’t come with warning labels or flashing lights. They look harmless. Ordinary. Convenient.
But Scripture is clear. The enemy doesn’t need permission to destroy. He just needs access.
The devil can’t kick down doors that are locked by truth, obedience, and humility.
So he waits for us to crack one open.
A door of unforgiveness.
A door of pride.
A door of secret compromise.
A door of unchecked anger.
A door marked “just this once.”
And once a door is opened, what was meant to be temporary becomes an invitation.
The Bible says, “Neither give place to the devil.” That word place means room, foothold, access. In other words, don’t give him a door.
Here’s the good news. The same hand that opened the door can shut it.
Repentance closes doors.
Truth locks them.
The Word of God reinforces them.
And the authority of Jesus stands guard over them.
Some of us don’t need more prayers. We need fewer open doors.
We don’t need louder worship. We need cleaner living.
We don’t need another breakthrough. We need to shut what never should have been opened.
Check the doors of your heart today.
If something doesn’t belong, close it.
If something is lingering, confront it.
If something is tempting, lock it.
Because the safest place to live is not on the edge of compromise, but behind a closed door marked, “No access. Jesus lives here.”
