The Gratitude Journey – Day 1 of 30 Days

You know, some of the most joyful moments in life happen when we stop trying to get something — and start trying to give something. Acts 20:35 reminds us that Jesus Himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Now, that’s not just a nice saying. That’s a divine principle that unlocks the kind of happiness money can’t buy. Every time you give—whether it’s your time, your encouragement, your forgiveness, or your resources—you’re partnering with the heart of God. Because God is a giver. He gave His Son. He gives grace. He gives us breath every morning.

And when we live that way, life just feels lighter. The stress lifts, the joy rises, and suddenly you find yourself smiling—not because you got something, but because you gave something that mattered.

So today, look for a way to bless somebody. Write that note. Say that prayer. Share that meal. Give that hug. Because when you live open-handed, you’ll find your heart wide open too—and that’s where the blessing really begins.
