Luke 1:49 (KJV): “For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.”
Sometimes life makes us feel small, overlooked, or powerless. But Mary’s words remind us of a powerful truth: the God who is mighty takes notice of us and does great things in us and for us. She wasn’t wealthy. She wasn’t famous. She was just a humble young woman in Nazareth. Yet God chose her, blessed her, and through her, brought Jesus into the world.
That’s the same God who sees you today. He’s not limited by your circumstances, your failures, or your fears. The God who spoke creation into existence is still speaking life over you. The God who parted seas, calmed storms, and raised the dead is still mighty and still holy.
So don’t measure your future by your own strength. Measure it by His. Like Mary, lift your eyes and say, “The Mighty One has done great things for me.” Even in the waiting, even in the struggle, He is working all things for your good and His glory. Trust Him. Praise Him. And remember: His name is holy, and His power is still mighty in your life today.
