Life’s Garden!

1 Corinthians 3:7 says, “So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.”

Now friend, that right there is a holy reminder that ought to humble the proud and lift the weary all in one breath. You see, some folks spend all their time trying to be the planter — starting big things, making big noise. Others are always watering — encouraging, building up, keeping things going. But this verse? It whispers a truth we all need tattooed on our souls: it’s not  about who’s planting or who’s watering. It’s about God, and He’s the only one who can make something grow.

So if you’ve been laboring in love, planting seeds in your kids, your marriage, your ministry — and you’re not seeing fruit yet — don’t you dare quit. And if you’ve been faithfully watering someone else’s work, and you feel like no one notices? Heaven does. And God ain’t done.

We are just tools in the hands of the Master Gardener. He brings the growth in His time, in His way, for His glory.

Keep planting. Keep watering. And keep trusting the One who makes things grow.

Because when He shows up, the harvest is always more than we imagined.

He Hears You!

“And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” — 1 John 5:14

There’s a whole lot of noise in this world, and sometimes it feels like we’re shouting into the wind—praying, hoping, pleading—and wondering if anybody’s really listening. But this verse right here? It’s a holy reminder that when we line our hearts up with His will, Heaven leans in close.

We’re not talking about wish lists and lottery prayers. This is deeper. This is about praying from the soul—not to bend God to our desires, but to let His desires shape us. When we get into His Word, spend time with His Spirit, and walk in His ways, something beautiful happens: our prayers shift from “Lord, give me” to “Lord, use me.”

And here’s the promise: when your heart beats in rhythm with His, He hears you. Not a passing glance. Not background noise. He hears you—every word, every whisper, every worn-out sigh.

So don’t lose heart. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Stay aligned. Because the God who hears you is already at work doing more than you can imagine.

Shouting Time!

God did something amazing in Jesus, and Romans 3:25 puts it right in front of us like a billboard flashing with grace. “God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.” That’s not just Bible talk—that’s the heart of the Gospel.

God didn’t wait on us to get our act together. He knew we couldn’t. So He sent Jesus to do what we never could: to pay the debt we couldn’t afford, to bridge a gap we couldn’t cross, and to offer a love we could never deserve. The cross wasn’t an accident. It was the plan all along—love on full display.

And here’s the beauty: it’s received by faith. That means you don’t have to earn it, deserve it, or clean yourself up before you can come to it. You just have to believe it. Trust it. Walk in it. That’s grace, y’all. Not cheap grace—but costly, blood-bought, cross-shaped grace.

So today, if you’re feeling unworthy, unlovable, or undone—remember this: Jesus already paid the price. All you gotta do is receive it. And when you do, you’re not just forgiven—you’re free.

That’s worth shouting about from the front porch and singing about in the rain.
