I reckon most of us like to think we’ve got it all together. We put on a good face, act like we can handle whatever life throws at us, and grit our teeth through the tough spots. But if we’re being honest, we all have moments when we feel weak, worn out, and just plain not enough.
That’s where 2nd Corinthians 12:9 comes in like a cool breeze on a hot summer day. The Lord said to Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” In other words, God ain’t waiting on you to be strong—He’s waiting on you to lean on Him.
See, the world teaches us to hide our weaknesses, but God says, “Bring them to Me.” Because it’s in those places where we come up short that His power shines the brightest. When we stop pretending we’ve got it all figured out, that’s when we finally give God room to work.
So maybe today, instead of fighting so hard to be strong, you let yourself rest in the strength of the One who never fails. His grace is more than enough, and His power is made perfect right where you are. And that, my friend, is real strength.
