Romans 12:10 says, “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Now, that’s a tall order in today’s world where it seems everyone’s out for number one. But let me tell you, there’s a beauty in putting others first, and it’s a lesson we could all stand to learn.

Imagine if we all treated each other like family—not the kind of family that fights over the last piece of pie at Thanksgiving, but the kind that lifts each other up, encourages one another, and gives grace even when it’s tough. That’s the love Paul’s talking about. It’s a love that goes beyond the surface, digs deep, and honors others not because they’ve earned it, but because they’re worth it.

Life’s too short to not cherish the folks around you. When we lift  others, we’re lifting ourselves. When we show love and honor, we reflect God’s own heart. So, today, go out there and be devoted. Not because you have to, but because love is the greatest gift you can give—and receive.
