Learning To Lean!

Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Now, let me tell you, life has a way of breaking hearts and crushing spirits. Sometimes it’s that lost job, a phone call with bad news, or even just one of those days when everything goes wrong, like burning your toast, running late, and realizing you forgot your wallet. But no matter how deep the hurt or how heavy the weight, there’s something mighty comforting in knowing the Lord is right there with you.

See, God doesn’t stand at a distance when we’re hurting; He moves in closer. It’s like when a friend pulls up a chair and sits with you while you’re down. He doesn’t try to fix everything on the spot; sometimes, it’s enough just to know you’re not alone. God’s presence is that reassurance—that in the middle of our mess, He’s there to offer peace and hope.

So, when you feel the weight of the world, remember this: You don’t have to go through it alone. The Lord draws near, and He’s ready to lift you up, one heartbeat at a time. You can trust that He’s working, even when all you feel is broken. Let Him hold you—He’s never more present than when you’re in the valley. And when you lean on Him, He’ll carry you through.
