Dealing With Holiday Nerves!

During this time of year, it is very easy to get caught up in the hustle ad bustle of the holiday season!  This thing that we should enjoy, often jets right by us, without our being able to take the time to stop and enjoy the great gifts of God!  I just wanted to encourage all of us today to take a moment or two every day for the next several days to stop and think about all of the amazing gifts that God has already given us!

Have you ever noticed that the stuff that we allow to bother us – is stuff that really does not matter?  When you start to get upset or uptight about something in the next few days – ask yourself this question:  “What difference does this make in ETERNITY?”  Most of the stuff that we let wreck our day – is stuff that really does not make a big difference in the grand scheme of things!

So enjoy this time!  Today is a gift from God and what you do with today is your gift to God!  Make the most of it by enjoying the incredible gift!

  1. Michael Joe,
I needed to hear that today. I am letting too much stuff at work get to me right now. This of course makes me have not such a great attitude with those around me. I needed to hear the encourgment. It is true that the Lord always knows just what we need at just the right time.

  2. Well, you have just made my day. I come into work every day with a smile on my face and a smile in my heart and
within two minutes, BAM, someone is
trying their best to bring me down. Why? Well I will tell you what I think.
I think it’s because the smile of Jesus
is in me and I don’t mind letting it show. What are people thinking when
they strive to let STUFF bring them down and attempt to make sure their
stuff will bring someone else DOWN.
All I can say is that I MISS MICKEY
very badly, yet know I nor he would
want things different. I have MY LORD, Mickey’s memories, my children, Sherri, Shane, Jason, Kala
and my precious little Ryder, all my wonderful church friends and most of
all, HIS love for me. Well, that’s all.
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.
