God has been talking to me a lot lately about my being concerned about stuff that I have not got any business being concerned about! A lot of the stress in my life – is stress that I put on myself. God has called me to do two things: Share Him with others and share with others how they can grow in a relationship with Him. My problem is, I often get focused on all kinds of other stuff that does not do anything to help me accomplish the two main goals of my life! I am working hard this week to stay focused on the main thing! I want to share God and the difference that a relationship with Him can make with at least one person every day! I want to help as many people as I can everyday to grow in a meaningful relationship with God!
So today let me encourage you to practice Matthew Six! Three things to focus on this week: 1. Give to the Needy! Everybody has a need – it should not be to hard to find someone to give to! And remember: There are a lot of different ways to give! 2. Pray to really communicate with God! We all need to pray! Prayer is not just talking – it is also listening. Have a goal of getting something special from God this week. 3. Fast and give up to grow up! What could you give up that would allow you to grow up in your spiritual relationship? Don’t just think about it – do it and obey God – you will be amazed at what He can accomplish in you and through you! God Bless & Keep It Real!
Sometimes I don’t realize that the moment of opportunity to wittness is in front of me until it is behind me. The lights aren’t always shinning when they should be. It’s that simplicity thingy that I don’t have.. Well, we have a new lady starting at my shop doing massages. She is quiet and sorta keeps to herself. Can’t do this in a full service salon. Gotta talk and e friendly. I just think that she is feeling us out (like we are her too). A bunch of men can work together better then a bunch of women can!!!!! Anyways, we all went to lunch today and I always am the food blesser! She wasn’t sure about this, but she did it anyways. Found out during lunch that she is Catholic. They don’t practice anything, but have a 3 year old and want to start with a foundation for their daughter. Well, the lights were shinning today. Being a former Catholic we have something in common. So after all of this I would like you all to pray for me, so that I chose my words right and that God uses me to help them find their right direction. I also feel that God has placed me at my shop to minister to my partners and them to me!!! I’d like to take a minute extra and thank you all for the prayers concerning loving unlovable people. I felt your prayers and I am still tring to love unconditionally a certain person who can’t stand to be around us… God Bless you all, jerilynn
p.s. getting it done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jerilynn,
From one former Catholic to another, just be You.
A Christ follower who has fun and IS fun. When you stay built up in the word, your witness is already evident to others by your actions. (You know they speak louder than words!) I have found that when the moment comes to share, God just opens a window and the Holy Spirit takes over.
I can remember when Michael was about 7 or 8 years old. I was sharing my faith with him and he looked at me with a funny look and said, “Mommy that didn’t even sound like your voice when you were talking”. I told him that, “I guess it was the Holy Spirit. He had something to say, so I said it for Him!” Michael just grinned.
And, honey, I am not a talker and really pretty unsure of myself most the time. But one thing I am sure of is that God will use you and when you least expect it, you’ll sound like Him!
love ya,
T. =)
