LIFE!

The question that I need to answer in life is:  “What does God want?”  So many times, we spend so much of our effort trying to figure out what we want and what we are going to do to get what we want that we miss out on what really matters and that is:  WHAT DOES GOD WANT?  God has a vision for our lives and God’s vision is better than any vision that we could ever dream up and ty to manipulate!  We need to start tying to figure out:  what is God’s vision and how do I get in on it?

Think about it for just a minute:  What can God do?  What can God do with our lives?  What can God do with this church?  We need to live lives of right direction and understand that God’s direction is right direction!  Step out of self and step into God!  There are things that you do not and cannot understand and that’s okay – just admit it and you will find it easier to trust God and His direction for your life!  On our best day, when we are doing our best work, we are just getting by in our own power and strength.  God created us for more than just getting by!

Just when you get life headed where you think that it needs to go – something comes along to messes it all up!  This happens again and again and again, until we get to the place, were we put our life in God’s hand and pursue His will!  John 10:10 says that the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus has come so that we might have life and life more abundantly!  Claim your abundant life today and give God the glory by living in obedience to His plan!

TOUCHED!

The fifth of the five love languages is “Physical Touch”!  Almost every study ever conducted has found that babies that are hugged, kissed and loved on develop a healtier emotional life than those that are left for long periods of time without physical attention!  We have receptors all over our bodies, these nerves carry impulses to the brain and cause pain or pleasure!  Physical touch has the great capacity to communicate how we feel to another person by allowing them to feel from our touch!

A person who has physical touch as their love language appreciates touch and hears your expression of love though touch much louder than someone who has another of the love languages.  A hug communicates love and appreciation, but to a person with the love language of physical touch, a hug shouts love and appreciation!

If you happen to love someone who has the love language of physical touch, make sure that you are paying attention for the clues that they will provide about what they like.  Be sensetive to their needs, likes an dislikes and remember your goal is the other person’s pleasure!
